This summer trip will be the highlight of my year. They say that in order to understand the history of a people, the ways of a society, and the importance of their language, one must immerse himself totally in the country and culture that he wishes to learn about. By giving me an opportunity to join this trip to Italy, I will be able to do exactly that. This shall be different summer for me should I be allowed to join this trip. I will be spending my time doing educational, yet recreational activities in a country full of amazing sights, sounds, and opportunities to behold. Those whom I know have already gone off to Italy for a summer have always come back to tell me wonderful tales from their trip. From becoming more proficient in the Italian language in both a written and spoken manner, to eating at the street carts along the road, visiting the house of Juliet, and riding through the vineyards that allow tourists to visit, they have all sang the praises of a summer trip to Italy as being money well spent.
